Admissions

RecessFirst Christian Academy seeks to admit students whose parents desire a quality Christian education for their child.

Children shall be admitted based on the availability of space along with documentation of Birth Certificate, Social Security Card, Immunization Record, Health certificate, copy of last report card, copy of last achievement test scores, a $250.00 application fee ($200.00 will be refunded if child is not accepted) and a First Christian Academy personal interview. First Christian Academy reserves the right to deny admittance to students who have been suspended or expelled from other schools or who are not working at their current grade level. Kindergarten
students must be 5 (five) years old on or before September 1 (or by September 10, at the discretion of the administrator) of the school year.

Any student who becomes disruptive to the educational process will be placed on probation and referred to our School Board. It is the intent of First Christian Academy to provide every student sufficient opportunity to alter negative behavior and to fulfill his/her obligation to the school, to his/her parents, and to our Lord. No student will be denied admission based on race, color, national, or ethnic origin. Students may be denied admittance or have their registration canceled if their religious background is, or becomes, incompatible with the school’s stated doctrine or belief, or if the student refuses to participate in any of the school’s programs.

Families must agree to abide by school policies, assist the school and support school officials in the implementation and enforcement of its policies. Each student of the school shall be of the highest moral character and be obedient to all Biblical principles. Students must demonstrate a desire to succeed academically as evidenced by current and prior grade reports. Students must be open to hearing the gospel of Christ. Student appearance must be conservative, clean, neat, and modest. Student appearance must reflect the highest standards of the First
Christian Academy school environment and in obedience to the FCA written dress code. Traditional modest haircuts will be expected.

First Christian Academy currently does not have programs to assist students who have special needs. In the event parents wish to appeal decisions made by the Administrator, a written letter of appeal describing the situation and decision of the Administrator should be drafted and a copy made for each member of the School Board. The matter will then be discussed at the next regularly scheduled School Board meeting.
