Reporting Professional Misconduct

All employeess and agents of private schools, charter schools, or public school districts have an obligation and legal responsibility to report misconduct by instructional personnel and school administrators which effects the health, safety or welfare of a student.*

The following behavior may be indicative of misconduct that should be reported:

• Obscene language
• Drug and alcohol use
• Disparaging comments
• Prejudice or bibotry
• Sexual innuendo
• Cheating or testing violations
• Physical aggression
• Accept or offer favors

If someone tells you about misconduct, be a LEADER:

Evaluate
Act immediately
Document
Encourage
Report
